The APGA candidate for Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency for 2023 general elections, Dr Onyinye Kay Rufus-Obi has postponed all her ward to ward campaign activities over the demise of the PDP governorship candidate, Prof Uche Ikonne who died in Abuja hospital on the 25th of January, 2023.
The postponement of her ward to ward campaign activities was made known to us through the Omekannaya Campaign Organization.
The statement reads;
The Omekannaya Campaign Organization sincerely commiserate with the Governor of Abia State, His Excellency Dr Okezie Ikpeazu and the entire PDP family over the loss of their governorship candidate, Prof Uche Ikonne whose sad event occurred today, 25th January, 2023. The unexpected news of his demise was indeed a rude shock and we do share in your grief.
May Almighty GOD grant the immediate family of the late Prof Uche Ikonne and the good people of Ngwa land the fortitude to bear this irreparable and irreplaceable loss.
We have decided to also postpone the Ward campaigns earlier scheduled for 26th, 27th and 28th of January, 2023 to 31st January, 1st and 2nd February, 2023 as a mark of respect to a great man.
May the good LORD continue to bless and protect everyone accordingly.
