The Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), Isuikwuato Police Area Command, Abia State honoured the Governorship candidate of Social Democratic Party during the last general elections and the founder of SHOGNA, Apst Dr Ngozika Johnson-Ogbuneke as a Patron of the committee today, 28th December, 2023, pjtvnews reports.

The event took place at Commonwealth Resorts in Eluama under the chairmanship of Engr Sir Emmanuel Ndubuisi Mbaka had dignitaries from Eluama, Isuikwuato and Abia State at large.

The award was presented to Apst Dr Ngozika Johnson-Ogbuneke, ably represented by Pastor Salom Chidimma by Abia State Commissioner of Police, Kene Onwuemeile.

Apst Dr Ngozika Johnson-Ogbuneke, “Ada Abia” was recognized and honoured today due to her unflinching support to the committee and the development of the community at large.

Speaking after receiving the award, Her Excellency stated that, this very award has taken her much time in prayers and finally accepted, saying that by the Grace of God Almighty, she will join hands with others and the Nigeria Police to build a better Police housing standard, Police care and general Policing well-being both here in Isuikwuato, Abia state and Nigeria in general.

Her Excellency went further in thanking the Police Command in finding her worthy of the award. It is hoped that with her involvement, Abia State Police and Isuikwuato Police Command will have a new face lift.

The chairman of the Police Community Relations Committee, Isuikwuato Police Area Command, Chief Engr Chinedu Akubuako during his welcome address gave a brief history of the formation of tje committee. He said the committee was formed in August, 2020 shortly after the creation of the area command by the Nigerian Police Force. He went further to state that, the committee has been synergizing with the Police and the host community, Eluama in general.

He said, the synergy enabled the host community and her youths to keep vigilance in protecting the area command buildings from being touched during the END SARS and other uprisings when many Police stations were burnt.

“The committee in one of our meetings in August, 2023 agreed to honour a few deserving individuals in our community by inaugurating them as our patrons and grand patron of the Police Community Relations Committee, Isuikwuato Area Command”

Dignitaries present include Abia State Commissioner of Police, Kene Onwuemeile, Former DSS Boss, Chief Dr Ray Nkemdirim (Rtd), Commander, Isuikwuato Area Command, ACP Imo Chinwe Stanley, psc, ACP Ebipamowei Okoyen, PhD, psc, ACP Joseph Esegene (Pioneer Commander), Chairman of Isuikwuato Traditional Rulers Advisory Council, HRH Eze Faraday Mbachu Chinekwe, Amb Prince Emmanuel Nwosu, PCRC Abia State Chairman, Chief Dr Onyiyechi Kay Rufus-Obi, President General of Isuikwuato Development Union, Amb Chief Osondu Onyedimara and many others.

The high points of the event was during the presentation of the award to all the awardees by the Abia State Commissioner of Police.
