High Chief Cyril Ukabi Okemiri, a community leader from Acha, Isuikwuato LGA of Abia State has congratulated Gen Ike Omar Sanda Nwachukwu, the Ogbuagu Ndi Igbo on his appointment as Chairman Governing Council University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN) by President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Gen Ike Nwachukwu was appointed Pro Chancellor and Chairman Governing Council University of Nigeria Nsukka by President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu a few days ago. An appointment that was greeted with much enthusiasm from captains of industry and other concerned citizens of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Okemiri stated that, Nwachukwu’s appointment was as a result of his wealth of experiences and distinguished career both in public and private services.
Okemiri revealed that, Gen Ike Nwachukwu, who was a former military Governor of old Imo State, former minister of labour and productivity, former minister of foreign affairs and a former Abia North senator has gathered and gained years of experience to take University of Nigeria Nsukka to its expected new height.
Okemiri concluded by extending his hands of congratulations to “Ogbuagu Ndi Igbo” as he anticipates that, his appointment will bring in the much needed change the Institution yelled for.
