
As part of his commitment to empower youths and students of Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency, the Member representing Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency, *Hon Amobi Godwin Ogah*, through his Foundation, the HON AMOBI OGAH EDUCATION FOUNDATION paid a familiarisation visit to the FEDERAL COLLEGE OF FOREST RESOURCE MANAGEMENT, ISHIAGU today.
The D.G. of the Foundation, Dr Promise Udeh, explained that Hon Amobi Ogah is deeply committed to job creation and human capital development initiatives such as scholarship programmes spread across several tertiary institutions including 22 students at Abia State College of Health Sciences and Management Technology, Aba (ABSCOHMAT), and 66 students at Federal College of Agriculture, Ishiagu, amongst others.
Hon Amobi Ogah through his DG noted that he has deep rooted interest in Agricultural education because mechanised Agriculture is an ultimate tool for self empowerment and job creation for the teeming population of youths willing to salvage the country from the pangs of hunger.
In her response, the Provost of the College, Dr Amaka Emeghara and the Registrar, Mrs Chilaka Chioma, took the Education Foundation on an extensive tour of facilities in the College. These include the pen/poultry, weather station, plants nursery section, screen house amongst others.
The Management, through the College Provost appreciated HON AMOBI OGAH for his giant strides in education and noted that his educational programmes which are geared towards self reliance for youths is a noble gesture worth emulating. The school expressed willingness to partner with HON AMOBI OGAH EDUCATION FOUNDATION in several academic programmes such as their 3 months extensive agricultural training courses on (fish production, apiary/honey production, mushroom production, snailery, rabbitry, piggery, plantation establishment, forestation silvicuture, forest guards training, etc.), OND programmes and many others.
