The Management of Gregory University Uturu issues a stern rebuttal to the malicious and baseless allegations made in the online publication captioned “Controversial and Obnoxious Salary Cutting Policy of Gregory University Uturu Triggers Protests”. We categorically deny all the outlandish claims made in the article, which we believe is a deliberate and orchestrated smear campaign by a clique of disgruntled, indolent, and slothful lecturers who are demonstrably uncomfortable with the university’s biometric capturing policy, due to the discovery that they are allegedly guilty of “moonlighting” activities. This policy has, in fact, exposed the truancy and lack of diligence of these few malcontents.
-The biometric capturing policy of the university is a standard practice implemented to ensure accountability, transparency, and efficiency in staff attendance records. It promotes professionalism and responsibility among staff members. The management insists on full compliance with this policy.
-There is no obnoxious salary cutting policy as alleged. Any adjustments to salaries are made in accordance with university policies and are necessitated by operational requirements.
– The claims of “heavy protests” are grossly exaggerated and misleading. Since inception in 2012 the university has not witnessed any disruptions or protests either by staff or students as a result of any of the policies initiated by management.
– The allegations regarding the roles of SERVICOM and the DVC Administration in implementing an “obnoxious” policy are baseless and without merit, since all officers of the university continue to work hand in glove with relevant agencies to ensure the sustenance of the academic and administrative heights so far attained in the institution.
– The university’s salary structure is competitive and fair, considering the operational context of a private institution as the bogus claims of “exploitative and inhuman” treatment of staff are unfounded and defamatory.
We therefore want to reassure the public that there is absolute peace in Gregory University Uturu. The Rain Semester examinations are proceeding smoothly without disruptions, and the university environment remains conducive for academic activities. The management warns the originators and authors of the nefarious article to desist from such schemes immediately. We will not be deterred by unfounded allegations and will continue to insist on full compliance with the biometric policy and other institutional regulations aimed at maintaining high standards of professionalism and accountability.
Our legal department has been briefed and empowered to apply all possible constitutional means to bring perpetrators of the smear campaign to book while seeking to restore the good image of our university.
