The Rivers State Chapter of African Women Lawyers Association (AWLA) held their welcome back cocktail today 30th January, 2019 at the Senior Lawyers Lounge, Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) House, Port Harcourt, Rivers State headed by Mrs Cordelia Eke, Esq. The secretary to AWLA Rivers State Branch, Mrs Hilda Desmond Ihekaire, Esq also welcome all new members and thanked everyone for identifying with them.
The coordinator of Rivers State Chapter, Mrs Cordelia Eke, Esq during her speech said that AWLA is for: Gender Equality, Public Education and Advocacy, Protecting the Principles and AIMs of UN And AU Charter, Protecting and Promoting the rights of women and children amongst others.
Rivers State Chapter of the association calls for partnership and collaborations from other sister bodies and support in other to discharge their duties accordingly.
