A Nigerian Soldier with a rank of a private identified as Akhigbe Tijjani, attached to 27 taskforce brigade has been dismissed by the Nigerian Army and arrested by the police in Yobe State for raping a girl in the presence of her parents in Buni Yadi Community.
Tijjani was on a cordon-and-search operation when he entered the girl’s house and committed the crime. It was gathered that the officer also forced the girl’s brother to have sex with her.
When the boy refused, the suspect hit him in the head with a pestle. However, a colleague who was also on the cordon-and-search operation reported him to the military, prompting his courtmartial and dismissal.
