Wife of Abia State Governor, Mrs Nkechi Ikpeazu, has donated two new houses to widows through her Widows Indigent Shelter Scheme (WISS) anchored by Vicar Hope Foundation

The latest beneficiaries of the 2-bedroom apartments are Mrs. Gladys Nwogu, from Umuobiakwa and Mrs. Helen Ejimadu, from Umueke Etiti in Ohanze Community, both in Obingwa Local Government Area of the State.

Speaking during the handing over ceremony, Mrs Ikpeazu expressed appreciation to Barrister Emeka Enwereji who complimented her efforts in providing homes to indigent women by donating one of the houses, stating that shelter is a basic need of man, hence, her decision to support the administration of Governor Ikpeazu’s housing program.

It will be recalled that Mrs Ikpeazu has so far donated more than 60 houses to indigent women across the 17 LGAs of the state.
