Today, 5/04/2024 the people’s representative and Member representing Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, Hon. Amobi Godwin Ogah accompanied by his aides was at Ndubuisi Kanu Square, Mbalano for the flag -off of the Isuikwuato Agricultural Revolution Programme (ISAREP) organized by Isuikwuato Consultative Forum in conjunction with Isuikwuato Development Union, National.
Gen. Azubuike O. Ihejirika Rtd. chaired the event.
The leader of the consultative forum, Chief Sir Raymond Nkemdirim gave the background note for the programme while President-General of IDU National, Engr. Chief Osondu Onyedimara gave the opening remarks ushering the visitors.
Representative of Bio AG organic fertilizer group, Chief Greg Okehi gave insight on the importance and application of the product. Representative of National Institute for Oil Palm Research (NIFOR) equally addressed the gathering.
Mayor of Isuikwuato LGA, AVM Chinwendu Onyike Rtd. is the host of this event while various seedlings, crops, stems etc were made available and to be distributed to farmers for free in the various communities thus heralding the beginning of the planting season for the people of Isuikwuato.
The traditional rulers of Isuikwuato were on ground too to support the event of the day. In his goodwill speech, Hon. Ogah thanked the ICF and other stakeholders for initiating this programme and he promised to key into this project due to the love and interest he has for agriculture. He gave financial donation to support this project as Agricultural support fund while he will leverage on other government assistance.
