
Barr Kaodi Onuoha has encouraged voters in Isuikwuato Local Government Area of Abia State to participate in the nationwide continuous voters registration (CVR) exercise organized by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), pjtvnews gathered.
According to a statement released by the publicity secretary of the commission, the exercise will commence with an online pre-registration phase on INEC’s portal [cvr.inecnigeria.org] allowing eligible Nigerians to initiate the process from the comfort of their homes.
However, physical registration will kick off a week later at the commission’s office across the 774 local government areas as well as other designated centers nationwide.
Onuoha’s encouragement to the Isuikwuato people on voters registration for 2027 is a timely reminder, especially with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) having announced the resumption of nationwide Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) on August 18, 2025.
This exercise aims to register new voters, update existing voter details, and replace lost or damaged Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs).
Voters are encouraged to visit any INEC office for their massive registrations and be part of the preparations of the 2027 elections.
Onuoha stressed that, the importance of this registration is to enable citizens to participate in shaping their future through a democratic processes.
He concluded by saying that, any individual who’s 18 years and above should seize this opportunity to either register, update their details, replace a lost or stolen PVCs or transfer their PVCs to their respective villages.
