The attention of the Isuikwuato Traditional Rulers Advisory Council has been drawn to a false and misleading report circulating on social media and other platforms, claiming that the Council has endorsed Senator Orji Uzor Kalu.
We wish to state categorically and unequivocally as follows:
1. The Isuikwuato Traditional Rulers Advisory Council at no time, in any meeting, gathering, or forum, endorsed Senator Orji Uzor Kalu for any political office or interest.
2. No authorization was given to any person or group of persons to issue such endorsement on behalf of the Council.
3. The said publication is a lie, fabricated, and a misrepresentation of the position of the revered traditional institution of Isuikwuato. It must be refuted in its entirety.
4. The Traditional Rulers Advisory Council remains a non-partisan institution and father to all. We do not engage in partisan endorsement of any politician, political party, or aspirant.
5. The public is hereby advised to disregard the fake news and treat it as the handiwork of mischief makers seeking to drag our respected traditional institution into partisan politics.
We urge media practitioners to always verify information from the Council before publication.
