Unstoppable Momentum In Umunneochi: Bourdex Secured Unanimous Backing From Umuchieze Presidents-General, Youth, And Women Leaders

The political landscape across Abia North Senatorial District witnessed a fresh surge of grassroots momentum as the Labour Party Senatorial candidate, Chief Dr. David Ogba Onuoha Bourdex, MFR, OON, led a high-powered delegation to a historic Town Hall consultative assembly in Umuchieze, Umunneochi Local Government Area.

Coming on the heels of his highly successful royal engagement with the traditional rulers of Umuchieze, the Town Hall meeting brought together the complete leadership apparatus of the realm—including Presidents-General of all autonomous communities, youth leaders, women leaders, and influential grassroots stakeholders.

The atmosphere at the Umuchieze Town Hall was electric, marked by uninhibited enthusiasm, constructive dialogue, and a shared commitment toward aligning Abia North with the transformative governance model of His Excellency, Governor Alex Chioma Otti, OFR.

Taking turns to address the assembly, representatives of the various communities articulated the pressing socio-economic challenges confronting Umuchieze. Top on the priority list were urgent requests for:

Youth Employment & Skill Empowerment: Creating direct pathways for educated and skilled Umuchieze youths in federal and state establishments.

Infrastructure & Utilities: Accelerated rehabilitation of rural road networks and restoration of reliable public electricity.

Security & Government Presence: Strengthening community security frameworks and recognizing qualified Umuchieze sons and daughters for strategic public service roles.

Responding to the presentations, Chief David Ogba Onuoha Bourdex assured the gathering that their demands were deeply legitimate and directly reflected the daily realities of the people.

Reiterating his core political philosophy, Bourdex emphasized that true legislative representation cannot be executed by sitting in Abuja while remaining disconnected from the grassroots.

“I have always maintained that you cannot meaningfully represent a people whose problems you do not understand. And you cannot understand those problems by sitting in Abuja waiting for the people to come looking for you,” Bourdex declared to thunderous applause.

“That is precisely why these consultations are so important to me. These are not abstract demands; they affect the daily lives, livelihoods, and future of our people. I assure you that your concerns will receive the urgent attention they deserve through continued engagement with His Excellency, Governor Alex Otti, and relevant government institutions.”

Beyond the developmental deliberations, the meeting reached a crescendo as the Presidents-General, alongside youth and women leaders, collectively declared their total support for the Labour Party and Bourdex’s 2027 Senatorial campaign.

The community leaders expressed deep confidence in Bourdex’s proven track record as an industrialist, philanthropist, and consistent advocate for Abia North’s development.

Visibly moved by the overwhelming show of solidarity, the Labour Party flagbearer expressed profound gratitude to the people of Umuchieze, promising that his partnership with the zone will remain active long after elections are concluded.

“To our respected Presidents-General, the vibrant youths, our wonderful women, and all stakeholders who participated in this memorable gathering, I say a very big THANK YOU!” Bourdex stated.

“Your reception was generous, your presentations thoughtful, and your expressions of confidence deeply appreciated. The true value of leadership lies in maintaining contact with the people, listening to their concerns, and working consistently towards practical solutions. Umuchieze, you have spoken clearly, and I have listened carefully!”
