The highly defeated house member representing the people of Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency, Hon Nkeiruka Onyejeocha cries after loosing to Amobi Ogah in an independent online poll conducted by the Civic platform ChoiceNG.org, pjtvnews gathered.
In a press release made available to pjtvnews correspondent by the Media Director of Hon Amobi Godwin Ogah Campaign Organisation, Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency, Comrade Emenike Iroegbu stated that, Onyejeocha has been crying after realizing that, the constituents have made their choice and queued behind a performing rep member who’s the people’s choice.
Read the press release below;
The attention of the Hon. Amobi Godwin Ogah Campaign Organisation has been drawn to a frantic press statement issued by the campaign council of the former House of Representatives member, Hon. Nkeiruka Onyejeocha. In the said release, her team desperately attempted to cast doubt on the integrity of an independent online poll recently conducted by the civic platform ChoiceNG.org.
For the avoidance of doubt, as of the time of this release, the incumbent member representing Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency, Hon. Amobi Godwin Ogah, is leading the poll by a staggering margin of over 100%, leaving the former four-term lawmaker far behind in his wake.
This woeful outcry from Hon. Onyejeocha’s camp is nothing short of a political distress signal, a clear admission that she has lost total touch with the grassroots and utterly lacks the basic spirit of sportsmanship. Throwing a public tantrum because an independent poll did not favor your ambition is both unbecoming and politically embarrassing.
1. We Caught Wind of the Poll From YOUR Press Release!
The irony of this entire drama is that the Hon. Amobi Ogah Campaign Organisation only became aware of the ChoiceNG.org poll after reading Hon. Onyejeocha’s panicked press release.
While her team was busy agonizing over digits on a screen, Hon. Amobi Ogah was focused on his core duties delivering dividends of democracy, empowering constituents, and advancing legislative work in the Green Chamber.
We were not bothered about online polls, but we are certainly delighted that the spontaneous, unprompted results reflect the genuine reality on the ground. Isuikwuato/Umunneochi has moved on, and Hon. Amobi Ogah is set for a landslide victory come 2027.
2. When You Mobilize and Still Lose, Do Not Blame the Umpire!
Credible intelligence available to us reveals that prior to their public outburst, the Onyejeocha camp aggressively mobilized their supporters, digital handles, and WhatsApp groups to flood the ChoiceNG.org platform with votes.
However, when they realized that despite their frantic online recruitment, the organic love and overwhelming endorsement of Isuikwuato/Umunneochi constituents kept pushing Hon. Ogah further ahead, they suddenly remembered that online polls are “uncredible”!
If she had won the poll, her media team would currently be rolling out the drums, celebrating it as a “testament of her popularity.” Discrediting the organizers only after losing is the classic hallmark of a sore loser.
3. Online Polls Are Global Democratic Indicators
In case the former lawmaker’s team needs a quick civics lesson, independent online polling is a globally recognized democratic tool used in established democracies worldwide.
While an online poll may not represent exact official figures or replace the final ballot count, it serves as a reliable barometer of public sentiment, a clear pointer to where the political tide is turning and who the people truly favor.
4. A Friendly Advice- Throw in the Towel Now!
Rather than enduring further political humiliation, the Onyejeocha camp has a golden opportunity to bow out gracefully. She can choose to save her resources, pick up her phone, call her brother, Hon. Amobi Ogah, and say: “I support your good work, let us work together for the progress of our federal constituency.”
That would be the honorable path to take, rather than waiting to suffer a sound defeat at the polls in 2027.
5. Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Has Moved Forward
Hon. Amobi Godwin Ogah has redefined governance in Isuikwuato/Umunneochi within his short time in office, delivering multi-billion-naira empowerment schemes, agricultural support, educational interventions, good representation and quality infrastructure.
More importantly, through Hon. Ogah’s visionary leadership, the vibrant youths of Umunneochi and Isuikwuato now know that legislative representation is not an exclusive inheritance to Honorable Onyejeocha, and that they too have a bright future in political leadership.
We advise Hon. Onyejeocha and her team to dry their tears, accept the reality of public opinion, and get ready for the ultimate decision of the electorate in 2027.
Signed:
Iroegbu Emenike
Director of Media
Hon. Amobi Godwin Ogah Campaign Organisation
Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency
