Member Representing, Isuikwuato/ Umunneochi Federal Constituency, Hon Amobi Ogah has taken a firm stance against the National Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) by rejecting the recent increase in electricity tariff.
Hon. Amobi Ogah who made his stand known at a stakeholders meeting with relevant bodies in the power sector expressed strong disapproval of the price hike, especially considering the increase in petrol prices that has already burdened many Nigerians.
According to him, “A motion should be moved that the tarrif should be suspended. Let not do things that will make our constituents stone us.
“You increased end users tarrif when you have not recorded any achievement and you expect Nigerians to just accept it”.
