Umunneochi Mayor, Ndubuisi Ike Failed To Deliver Labour Party in His Polling Unit

The current Mayor cum Transition Chairman of Umunneochi Local Government Area, Hon Ndubuisi Ike failed to deliver the Labour Party during the 2023 general elections in his polling unit, pjtvnews gathered.

According to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) official results sheet, the Umuaku unit where Ndubuisi Ike’s polling unit is, the Labour Party scored a total of 473 votes while, her major opposition, PDP scored a total of 660 votes. This is a clear indication that, Ndubuisi never worked for Labour Party in Umuaku Ward 2, Umunneochi and Abia State in general.

Ndubuisi Ike who has been at the fore front, playing a divide and rule game in his Local Government has been seen severally boasting about his relationship with His Excellency, Dr Alex Chioma Otti.

He was even heard claiming he has been given a go-ahead order and clearance to contest in the much talked about Local Government election in the state in no distant time.

Recall that, Ndubuisi Ike was appointed Mayor of Umunneochi on the 28th of November, 2023 alongside other Mayors across the 17 LGAs of the state. Nine (9) months later, with over a billion naira collected as Allocations aside other internally generated revenues, no single projects either completed or ongoing can be traced to his name in the entire Local Government.

If Ndubuisi Ike can’t deliver LP in his polling unit as shown in the INEC results sheet, then, he can’t also deliver any dividends of democracy to the people of Umunneochi Local Government either as a Mayor or as an “elected Chairman”.

It’s been rumored that, Ndubuisi is still secretly working for his cousin, the current Minister for Labour, Hon Nkiruka Onyejeocha and her co-travellers.

Ndubuisi has been fingered in many Anti-Labour Party activities due to his external interests and keeping him will amount to feeding the dog fat with the children’s meal.
