Abia is getting out of the woods - Hon Chinasa applauds Governor Otti's Economic Turnaround

The Chief Liaison Officer of Abia State Liaison Office Abuja, Hon Iheanyi Frank Chinasa, has hailed Governor Alex Otti’s administration for the state’s remarkable performance in the recent sustainability report by BudgIT.

Hon Chinasa attributed Abia’s success to Governor Otti’s background as a renowned banker and technocrat, which has enabled him to run the government as a business. “Governor Otti has refrained from the old style of playing ‘settlement politics’ and instead focused on making Abia and her people richer,” he said.

He noted that Abia is gradually getting out of the woods, with the state’s economic index spiraling upwards to the benefit of the people. “The recent report is further proof of the governor’s efforts to create a conducive environment for investment. Abia has truly emerged as one of the most economically friendly environments for investment,” Hon Chinasa said.

He appreciated Governor Otti for making Abia irresistible for small and medium scale enterprises and foreign direct investments. “This is a significant development that will create jobs, boost economic growth, and improve the quality of life for Abians,” he added.

Hon Chinasa’s reaction reflects the optimism among Abians that the state is on the path to economic recovery and prosperity through enterprise, under Governor Otti’s leadership.

The BudgIT report assesses states’ performance in fiscal stability, transparency, and accountability, providing a snapshot of their economic health. For Abia State, the report signals a positive shift towards sustainable development, with potential benefits including improved infrastructure, increased job opportunities, and enhanced social services for the masses. As Abia’s economy grows, the people stand to gain from improved living standards and a more stable economic environment.
