Today, with profound honour and gratitude, we – Members & Associates of the SCM & the SHOGNA Foundation Int’l; join the nation to celebrate a living legend, a pillar of courage, and a statesman per excellence – General Ike Nwachukwu (Rtd), on the occasion of his 86th birthday.
His life is an epic written in service, sacrifice, and unshakable love for Nigeria. From the battlefields where he stood as a lion defending our unity, to the global stage where he lifted Nigeria’s banner as Minister of Foreign Affairs with poise and wisdom, he has proven that true leadership is both strength and grace.
As a Military Governor, his footsteps left prints of discipline, order, and compassion. He is a bridge between generations, a soldier who became a diplomat, a warrior who became a nation-builder. His exploits are not mere history; they are the very pillars upon which the Nigeria we believe in still stands today.

His story still inspires the young to believe that service to country is the highest calling. He fought so that Nigeria might live. He served so that peace might reign. And today, his legacy continues to water the seeds of unity, excellence, and national pride across every region of this country.
